Protected Species Surveys
Protected Species Surveys
Protected species surveys are a legal requirement if initial surveys suggest that any of the species listed in Article 12 of the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulation 2010 (Habitats Regulations 2010) and the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (as amended) is present on a development site.
We have considerable experience in working with a wide range of European Protected Species across the UK. Our experience includes badger surveys, breeding bird surveys, great crested newt surveys, invertebrates, otter and water vole surveys, reptiles surveys, white-clawed crayfish surveys, fish surveys and fish rescue.
White-Clawed Crayfish Surveys
Survey rivers and streams to detect and protect white-clawed crayfish.
Badger Surveys
Identify badger activity and setts to guide protection and planning decisions.
Otter and Water Vole Surveys
Survey watercourses for otter and water vole to guide planning.
Great Crested Newt Surveys
Assess waterbodies for great crested newts to guide ecological decisions.
